For the beard and the skin under it

A beard is coarse hair on top of skin that gets dry and tight under it. Our beard oil looks after both. It is made with the two oils we certify — argan oil and prickly pear seed oil, both certified organic by Ecocert under the EU and USDA organic standards — and four more oils chosen for how they feel in a beard.

What is in it

• Argan and prickly pear seed oils — softness, and a quick-absorbing finish.
• Olive, sesame and sweet almond oils — glide, so the oil spreads easily through the beard and down to the skin.
• Nigella oil and vitamin E — the vitamin E keeps the blend fresh.
• Ylang ylang essential oil, 1% — a light, warm floral note that fades after an hour or so.

What it does

It softens the hair, makes a coarse or growing beard easier to comb and shape, and keeps the skin underneath comfortable instead of tight.

How to use it

Three to five drops depending on the length of the beard. Warm them in the palms, work them in with the fingers down to the skin, then comb. Best after a shower, while the hair is still slightly damp.

Questions we are asked

I only have stubble. Two drops are enough. Rub them in for the skin more than for the hair.

Is the scent strong? No. At 1%, the ylang ylang is noticeable when you apply it and fades within the hour.

I have sensitive skin. Try a drop on the inside of the forearm a day before. Essential oils, even at 1%, do not suit everyone.
