Argan & Prickly Pear Face Serum

Two certified organic oils, nothing else

Our face serum is the blend of the two oils we certify: 80% argan oil and 20% prickly pear seed oil, both certified organic by Ecocert under the European and the American (USDA) organic standards. There is no water, no fragrance, no filler and no preservative in the bottle — two oils need none of them.

Why these two together

Argan oil is the comfortable one. Around 45% of it is oleic acid, which gives it its supple, cushioning feel. Prickly pear seed oil is the opposite: a dry oil, around 60% linoleic acid — the fatty acid the skin uses to build its barrier and cannot make itself — and it sinks in within a minute. It also carries over 1,000 mg of vitamin E per kilo.

On their own, argan can feel rich in the morning and prickly pear can feel almost too light at night. Four parts of the first to one of the second gives a serum that works at both ends of the day.

Who it is for

All skin types, dry and sensitive skin included. Because it absorbs quickly, it also suits combination skin that finds pure argan oil too rich.

How to use it

Three or four drops, warmed between the palms and pressed onto clean skin while it is still slightly damp — that is what lets an oil spread thinly. Use it on its own, or before your moisturiser. It can be used on the eye contour.

Questions we are asked

Morning or evening? Both. In the morning, give it a minute to sink in before make-up.

Will it make oily skin shinier? It is the lightest blend we make. Start with two drops in the evening and see how your skin takes it.

I have very sensitive skin. Put a drop on the inside of the forearm and wait a day before using it on the face, as with any new product.
